To say the need a lot of help on both sides of the ball would be an understatement. After being one of the worst teams in the NFL in 2025, the Jets desperately need some blue-chip players to build around, which makes the 2026 draft crucial. Luckily, the Jets will have two cracks Jett Woo Jersey at doing that in the first round, as they own both the No. 2 and No. 16 picks, with the latter coming from the Sauce Gardner trade with the . In his first mock draft of the offseason, predicts the Jets will take Ohio State linebacker Arvell Re se at No. 2 and Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate at No. 16. "The Jets have needs all over their defense. Reese is versatile and athletic. I think hell benefit from working off the edge full-time after also seeing time at off-ball linebacker during his Buckeyes career," Jeremiah said of Reese. "This would be a value pick, but we see talented receivers go in this area of the draft year after year (Jaxon Smith-Njigba,Emeka Egbuka,Justin Jefferson). The Jets pair former Ohio State starGarrett Wilsonwith a fellow Buckeye,"Jeremiah said of Tate. While Reese is labeled as a linebacker, he can play edge and, as Jeremiah points out, that might be his best spot at the next level. We don't want to compare anyone to Micah Parsons, but Reese might be the closest thing to the superstar given his versatility and elite playmaking ability. If there is no quarterback worthy a selection at No. 2, the Jets should be aiming for the best player available and Reese certainly qualifies as such. Adding Tate would give the Jets another much-needed weapon at wide receiver to help Garrett Wilson and whoever is at quarterback. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound wideout can get open with the best of them thanks to his route-running and high football IQ. He may not have the top-end speed teams are looking for, but he can still be a menace in the intermediate area of the field. If general manager Darren Mougey comes away with both Reese and Tate in the first round of April's draft, it will have been a good Day 1 for New York. More NFL news Dakota Joshua Jersey
