Rameshwaram Temple, also known as Ramanathaswamy Temple, is one of the most famous Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located in the island of Rameswaram in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlinga temples, where Shiva is worshipped in the form of a Jyotirlinga, or "pillar of light."
