Sringeri Madh is the short form for Sringeri Matha, also called Sringeri Sharada Peetham, which is one of the four Hindu Advaita maths established by Adi Shankara, the philosopher who consolidated the doctrine of Advaita Vedanta. It is located in Sringeri, in the Indian state of Karnataka. The matha is dedicated to the study of Vedanta and the worship of Goddess Sharada, the Goddess of intellect and wisdom.
